I got this digital negative for one of my classes ready. It’s going to be my first time printing a cyanotype, so I’m excited for the end result.
I got the 70D for roughly $1,600. It was on sale at Futureshop. The T3i is good but if you’re planning to make money off of your photography, I’d recommend going for something like the 70D or 6D, as the T3i is a entry level camera. As far as I can tell, the 70D is a great camera for both photography and video. Also keep in mind that the lens’ you use are important as well. The 50 mm f/1.8 or 1.4 is a good investment for portrait photography.
I would recommend checking out Nikon cameras as well. Go to your local Futureshop, Best Buy, Henry’s etc, and ask them about what camera would be right for you.
I upgraded from the Canon Rebel T3 to the Canon 70D. I can give you some advice on what camera to buy, but it all depends on what you’re planning to use the camera for. I would recommend the T3 (or the T5i, which is the most recent of the Rebel series) as a starter camera—especially if you’re a hobbyist photographer.
